Bee keeping/Farming
The upkeep of bee colonies for the purpose of producing honey is known as Bee keeping, and it is a vital practice for communities hoping to end poverty through the sale of beekeeping goods and environmental preservation.
Fee-Vert trains farmers, students, and tourists from all across Tanzania in top-bar and commercial hives (langstroth) beekeeping! Participants leave the trainings with all the knowledge they need to start their own home apiaries. To get them started on their beekeeping journey, training participants also receive the required equipment, which includes a top bar hive, boots, gloves, a bee smoker, a bee brush, and a beekeeping suit.
Why do bar hives top? Top-bar hives are lengthy wooden boxes with a lid that is covered in frames. It is simple to inspect and harvest from this single chamber hive, and the internal frames.
